The first Poetry Slam put on by Gihon River Review was a great success! There was a huge turnout by Johnson State students. The grand winner was Ashley McCauliff with a deeply powerful piece, that moved the crowd and judges. The judges, Jacob White, Margo Warden, President Barbara Murphy, did an outstanding job, and we greatly appreciate their help. We are planning another Slam for next semester because of the awesome attendance. So stay tuned for further information. Remember I Slam therefore I am!
